Welcome to What I Wish I Knew by Dental Head Start. This is a podcast where we learn from people that have been there, made the mistakes, learnt the lessons and have developed into the accomplished dental professionals they are today.
It’s your weekly mentoring session.
It’s one thing to produce beautiful anterior restorations, but it’s another thing entirely to display the beauty though photography.
Photography is one of the most powerful tools a dentist can have. It’s used as a patient communication tool, for diagnosis, treatment planning, lab communication, marketing and more.
Dr Karim Habib, one of the most talented cosmetic dentists in Australia, recognised the impact that photography could have on dental career and mastered this skill in the last few years to get his photography serving him and his patients in more ways than you’d think. His instagram page is one of the most followed dental accounts in Australia and on it he showcases some his best work through unique and aesthetically pleasing before and after images.
He shares with us his tip tops on how he uses dental photography in the realm of aesthetic dentistry and how he gets those amazing shots for instagram.
Dr Karim Habib
Karim moved to Australia from Toronto, Canada in 2006 and has since then called Sydney home. After graduating with honours from the University of Sydney, he completed numerous continuing education programs in Orthodontics, Implantology and dental aesthetics thus enabling him to provide comprehensive care to his patients. His true passion lies in the “Art of Dentistry”, always striving to deliver treatment that is not only functional, but also beautiful. He has a special interest in carrying out minimally invasive aesthetic transformations with direct composite resin and veneers. Karim is the Principal Dentist at Dental Square, a private practice in Sydney with a focus on dental aesthetics and smile design.
